I have worked in the editorial departments of the Ecco Press (now an imprint of HarperCollins) and W. W. Norton & Company.
My freelance editing clients have included W. W. Norton, Prentice Hall, Howell Book House, and individual authors.
My freelance writing clients have included the Poetry Foundation, the ASPCA member magazine, AT&T, and the New Jersey daily newspapers the Courier News, the Home News Tribune, and the Asbury Park Press.
Because I took a sabbatical from editing while my children were young, I am ensuring that my skills are up-to-date by completing the coursework for the University of San Diego’s Copyediting Certificate.
I hold an honors BA in Combined Studies (literature and linguistics) from the University of Manchester in the UK. (Note: I was born in New York and lived abroad for three years; while I am familiar with British spelling and sentence construction, US English is my baseline. I can, however, “Americanize” or “Americanise” British text.)
