My website is plain—some might say a little boring—because good copyediting doesn’t call attention to itself. Think about it—when do you notice copyediting? When it’s done poorly, right? You notice it when the copy editor allowed “peak” to stand when the writer meant “peek,” when a word is missing, or when a quotation doesn’t have its closing quotation marks.
My mission is to make you look good, not to stand out myself. As a nod to that fact, I like to keep my page as simple as possible.
